Also, they are the oldest form of derivatives. A forward contract is nothing but an agreement to sell something at a future date. The price at which this transaction will take place is decided in the present.</div><div>However, a forward contract takes place between two counterparties. This means that the exchange is not an intermediary to these transactions. Hence, there is an increase chance of counterparty credit risk. Also, before the internet age, finding an interested counterparty was a difficult proposition. Another point that needs to be noticed is that if these contracts have to be reversed before their expiration, the terms may not be favorable since each party has one and only option i.e. to deal with the other party. The details of the forward contracts are privileged information for both the parties involved and they do not have any compulsion to release this information in the public domain.</div><div>TYPE 2: FUTURES CONTRACTS</div><div>A futures contract is very similar to a forwards contract. The similarity lies in the fact that futures contracts also mandate the sale of commodity at a future data but at a price which is decided in the present.</div><div>However, futures contracts are listed on the exchange. This means that the exchange is an intermediary. Hence, these contracts are of standard nature and the agreement cannot be modified in any way. Exchange contracts come in a pre-decided format, pre-decided sizes and have pre-decided expirations. Also, since these contracts are traded on the exchange they have to follow a daily settlement procedure meaning that any gains or losses realized on this contract on a given day have to be settled on that very day. This is done to negate the counterparty credit risk.</div><div>An important point that needs to be mentioned is that in case of a futures contract, they buyer and seller do not enter into an agreement with one another. Rather both of them enter into an agreement with the exchange.</div><div>TYPE 3: OPTION CONTRACTS</div><div>The third type of derivative i.e. option is markedly different from the first two types. In the first two types both the parties were bound by the contract to discharge a certain duty (buy or sell) at a certain date. The options contract, on the other hand is asymmetrical. An options contract, binds one party whereas it lets the other party decide at a later date i.e. at the expiration of the option. So, one party has the obligation to buy or sell at a later date whereas the other party can make a choice. Obviously the party that makes a choice has to pay a premium for the privilege.</div><div>There are two types of options i.e. call option and put option. Call option allows you the right but not the obligation to buy something at a later date at a given price whereas put option gives you the right but not the obligation to sell something at a later date at a given pre decided price. Any individual therefore has 4 options when they buy an options contract. They can be on the long side or the short side of either the put or call option. Like futures, options are also traded on the exchange.</div><div>TYPE 4: SWAPS</div><div>Swaps are probably the most complicated derivatives in the market. Swaps enable the participants to exchange their streams of cash flows. For instance, at a later date, one party may switch an uncertain cash flow for a certain one. The most common example is swapping a fixed interest rate for a floating one. Participants may decide to swap the interest rates or the underlying currency as well.</div><div>Swaps enable companies to avoid foreign exchange risks amongst other risks. Swap contracts are usually not traded on the exchange. These are private contracts which are negotiated between two parties. Usually investment bankers act as middlemen to these contracts. Hence, they too carry a large amount of exchange rate risks.</div><div>So, these are the 4 basic types of derivatives. Modern derivative contracts include countless combinations of these 4 basic types and result in the creation of extremely complex contracts. <u><i><b> WAP 8961215410 OR VISIT </b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b>https://www.facebook.com/groups/837413256331306/</b></i></u></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-1849415679804998272020-03-07T10:41:00.001-08:002020-03-07T11:03:05.330-08:00IMPORTANT TOPIC FOR SEBI GR A 2020 EXAM STUDY MATERIAL Fiscal Policy and Monetary Policy<div><u><i><b>IMPORTANT TOPIC FOR SEBI GR A 2020 EXAM STUDY MATERIAL <a href="http://www.facebook.com/groups/SEBI.GR.A.STUDY.MATERIALS">Fiscal Policy and Monetary Policy</a></b></i></u></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Definition of Fiscal Policy</div><div>When the government of a country employs its tax revenue and expenditure policies to influence the overall demand and supply for commodities and services in the nation’s economy is known as Fiscal Policy. It is a strategy used by the government to maintain the equilibrium between government receipts through various sources and spending over different projects. The fiscal policy of a country is announced by the finance minister through budget every year.</div><div>If the revenue exceeds expenditure, then this situation is known as fiscal surplus, whereas if the expenditure is greater than the revenue, it is known as the fiscal deficit. The main objective of the fiscal policy is to bring stability, reduce unemployment and growth of the economy. The instruments used in the Fiscal Policy are the level of taxation & its composition and expenditure on various projects. There are two types of fiscal policy, they are:</div><div>· Expansionary Fiscal Policy: The policy in which the government minimises taxes and increase public spending.</div><div>· Contractionary Fiscal Policy: The policy in which the government increases taxes and reduce public expenditure.</div><div>DEFINITION OF MONETARY POLICY</div><div>Monetary Policy is a strategy used by the Central Bank to control and regulate the money supply in an economy. It is also known as credit policy. In India, the Reserve Bank of India looks after the circulation of money in the economy.</div><div>There are two types of monetary policies, i.e. expansionary and contractionary. The policy in which the money supply is increased along with minimization of interest rates is known as Expansionary Monetary Policy. On the other hand, if there is a decrease in money supply and rise in interest rates, that policy is regarded as Contractionary Monetary Policy.</div><div>The primary purposes of the monetary policy include bringing price stability, controlling inflation, strengthening the banking system, economic growth, etc. The monetary policy focuses on all the matters which have an influence on the composition of money, circulation of credit, interest rate structure. The measures adopted by the apex bank to control credit in the economy are broadly classified into two categories:</div><div>· General Measures (Quantitative Measures):</div><div>Bank Rate</div><div>Reserve Requirements i.e. CRR, SLR, etc.</div><div>Repo Rate Reverse Repo Rate</div><div>Open market operations</div><div>· Selective Measures (Qualitative Measures):</div><div>Credit Regulation</div><div>Moral persuasion</div><div>Direct Action</div><div>Issue of directives</div><div>KEY DIFFERENCES BETWEEN FISCAL POLICY AND MONETARY POLICY</div><div>The following are the major differences between fiscal policy and monetary policy.</div><div>1. The policy of the government in which it utilises its tax revenue and expenditure policy to influence the aggregate demand and supply for products and services the economy is known as Fiscal Policy. The policy through which the central bank controls and regulates the supply of money in the economy is known as Monetary Policy.</div><div>2. Fiscal Policy is carried out by the Ministry of Finance whereas the Monetary Policy is administered by the Central Bank of the country.</div><div>3. Fiscal Policy is made for a short duration, normally one year, while the Monetary Policy lasts longer.</div><div>4. Fiscal Policy gives direction to the economy. On the other hand, Monetary Policy brings price stability.</div><div>5. Fiscal Policy is concerned with government revenue and expenditure, but Monetary Policy is concerned with borrowing and financial arrangement.</div><div>6. The major instrument of fiscal policy is tax rates and government spending. Conversely, interest rates and credit ratios are the tools of Monetary Policy.</div><div>7. Political influence is there in fiscal policy. However, this is not in the case of monetary policy.</div><div>CONCLUSION</div><div>The main reason of confusion and bewilderment between fiscal policy and monetary policy is that the aim of both the policies is same. The policies are formulated and implemented to bring stability and growth in the economy. The most significant difference between the two is that fiscal policy is made by the government of the respective country whereas the central bank creates the monetary policy. <u><i><b>WAP 8961215410 OR VISIT https://www.facebook.com/groups/837413256331306</b></i></u>/</div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-15654126175078482742020-03-07T10:39:00.001-08:002020-03-07T11:03:25.084-08:00IMPORTANT TOPIC FOR SEBI GR A 2020 EXAM STUDY MATERIAL MANAGEMENT Principles of Risk Management<div><u><i><b>IMPORTANT TOPIC FOR SEBI GR A 2020 EXAM STUDY MATERIAL MANAGEMENT</b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b><a href="http://www.facebook.com/groups/SEBI.GR.A.STUDY.MATERIALS">Principles of Risk Management</a></b></i></u></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Various organizations have laid down principles for risk management. There are risk management principles by International standardization Organization and by Project Management Body of Knowledge.</div><div>The Project management body of knowledge (PMBOK) has laid down 12 principles. This article carries an amalgamation of both PMBOK and ISO principles. The various principles are:</div><div>1. Organizational Context: Every organization is affected to varying degrees by various factors in its environment (Political, Social, Legal, and Technological, Societal etc). For example, an organization may be immune to change in import duty whereas a different organization operating in the same industry and environment may be at a severe risk. There are also marked differences in communication channels, internal culture and risk management procedures. The risk management should therefore be able to add value and be an integral part of the organizational process.</div><div>2. Involvement of Stakeholders: The risk management process should involve the stakeholders at each and every step of decision making. They should remain aware of even the smallest decision made. It is further in the interest of the organization to understand the role the stakeholders can play at each step.</div><div>3. Organizational Objectives: When dealing with a risk it is important to keep the organizational objectives in mind. The risk management process should explicitly address the uncertainty. This calls for being systematic and structured and keeping the big picture in mind.</div><div>4. Reporting: In risk management communication is the key. The authenticity of the information has to be ascertained. Decisions should be made on best available information and there should be transparency and visibility regarding the same.</div><div>5. Roles and Responsibilities: Risk Management has to be transparent and inclusive. It should take into account the human factors and ensure that each one knows it roles at each stage of the risk management process.</div><div>6. Support Structure: Support structure underlines the importance of the risk management team. The team members have to be dynamic, diligent and responsive to change. Each and every member should understand his intervention at each stage of the project management lifecycle.</div><div>7. Early Warning Indicators: Keep track of early signs of a risk translating into an active problem. This is achieved through continual communication by one and all at each level. It is also important to enable and empower each to deal with the threat at his/her level.</div><div>8. Review Cycle: Keep evaluating inputs at each step of the risk management process - Identify, assess, respond and review. The observations are markedly different in each cycle. A forecast may be for a specific activity of the company. We normally forecast likely events such as sales, production, or any other activity of the organization.</div><div>On the other hand, budget relates to planned policy and program of the organization under planed conditions. It represents the action according to a situation which may or may not take place.</div><div>Budgeting</div><div>Budgeting represents the formation of the budget with the help and coordination of all or the various departments of the firm.</div><div>Budgetary Control</div><div>Budgetary control is a tool for the management to allocate responsibility and authority in planning for future and to develop a basis of measurement to evaluate the efficiency of operations.</div><div>A budget is a plan of the policy to be pursued during a defined time period. All the actions are based on planning of budget because budget is prepared after studying all the related activities of the company. Budget gives a communication ground to the top management with the staff of the firm who are implementing the policies of the top management.</div><div>Budgetary control helps in coordinating the economic trends, financial position, policies, plans, and actions of an organization.</div><div>Budgetary control also helps the management to ensure and control the plan and activities of the organization. Budgetary control makes it possible by continuous comparison of actual performance with that of the budgets.</div><div>Budgets are the individual objectives of a department whereas budgeting may be said to be the act of building budgets. Budgetary Control embraces all this and in addition, includes the science of planning the budgets themselves and utilization of such budget to effect an overall management tool f or the business planning and control.</div><div>...Rowland and William</div><div>Types of Budgets</div><div>Budgets can be categorized in various ways. Let us go through the types of budgets in detail.</div><div>Functional Budgets</div><div>It relates to any function of the firm such as sales, production, cash, etc. Following budgets are prepared in functional budgets:</div><div>Sales Budget</div><div>Production Budget</div><div>Material Budget</div><div>Manufacturing Budget</div><div>Administrative Cost Budget</div><div>Plant Utilization Budget</div><div>Capital Expenditure Budget</div><div>Research and Development Cost Budget</div><div>Cash Budget</div><div>Master Budget or Summarized Budget or Finalized Profit plan</div><div>This budget is very useful for the top management of the company because it covers all the information in a summarized manner.</div><div>Fixed Budget</div><div>It is a rigid budget and is drawn on the assumption that there will be no change in the budget level.</div><div>Flexible Budget</div><div>It is also called a sliding scale budget. It is useful in:</div><div>the new organizations where it is difficult to foresee,</div><div>the firms where activity level changes due to seasonal nature or change in demand,</div><div>the industries based on change of fashion,</div><div>the units which keep on introducing new products, and</div><div>the firms which are engaged in ship-building business.</div><div>Zero Base Budgeting</div><div>Zero base budgeting is not based on the incremental approach; previous year figures are not adopted as base. </div><div><br></div><div>VISIT https://www.facebook.com/groups/837413256331306/ FOR STUDY NOTES</div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-41869800248058975292020-03-07T10:35:00.001-08:002020-03-07T11:04:28.586-08:00IMPORTANT TOPIC FOR SEBI GR A 2020 EXAM STUDY MATERIAL: COMMERCE & ACCOUNTS RATIO ANALYSIS<div><u><i><b>IMPORTANT TOPIC FOR SEBI GR A 2020 EXAM STUDY MATERIAL COMMERCE & ACCOUNTS</b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b><a href="http://www.facebook.com/groups/SEBI.GR.A.STUDY.MATERIALS">RATIO ANALYSIS</a></b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div>Ratio Analysis and its Applications</div><div>Ratio analysis is a medium to understand the financial weakness and soundness of an organization. Keeping in mind the objective of analysis, the analyst has to select appropriate data to calculate appropriate ratios. Interpretation depends upon the caliber of the analyst.</div><div>Ratio analysis is useful in many ways to different concerned parties according to their respective requirements. Ratio analysis can be used in the following ways:</div><div>To know the financial strength and weakness of an organization.</div><div>To measure operative efficiency of a concern.</div><div>For the management to review past year’s activity.</div><div>To assess level of efficiency.</div><div>To predict the future plans of a business.</div><div>To optimize capital structure.</div><div>In inter and intra company comparisons.</div><div>To measure liquidity, solvency, profitability and managerial efficiency of a concern.</div><div>In proper utilization of assets of a company.</div><div>In budget preparation.</div><div>In assessing solvency of a firm, bankruptcy position of a firm, and chances of corporate sickness.</div><div>Advantages of Ratio Analysis</div><div>· It is powerful tool to measure short and long-term solvency of a company.</div><div>· It is a tool to measure profitability and managerial efficiency of a company.</div><div>· It is an important tool to measure operating activities of a business.</div><div>· It helps in analyzing the capital structure of a company.</div><div>· Large quantitative data may be summarized using ratio analysis.</div><div>· It relates past accounting performances with the current.</div><div>· It is useful in coordinating the different functional machineries of a company.</div><div>· It helps the management in future decision-making.</div><div>· It helps in maintaining a reasonable balance between sales and purchase and estimating working capital requirements.</div><div>Limitations of Ratio Analysis</div><div>Although Ratio Analysis is a very useful accounting tools to analyze and interpret different accounting equations, it comes with its own set of limitations:</div><div>· If the data received from financial accounting is incorrect, then the information derived from ratio analysis could not be reliable.</div><div>· Unauthenticated data may lead to misinterpretation of ratio analysis.</div><div>· Future prediction may not be always dependable, as ratio analysis is based on the past performance.</div><div>· To get a conclusive idea about the business, a series of ratios is to be calculated. A single ratio cannot serve the purpose.</div><div>· It is not necessary that a ratio can give the real present situation of a business, as the result is based on historical data.</div><div>· Trend analysis is done with the help of various calculated ratios that can be distorted due to the changes in the price level.</div><div>· Ratio analysis is effective only where same accounting principles and policies are adopted by other concerns too, otherwise inter-company comparison will not exhibit a real picture at all.</div><div>· Through ratio analysis, special events cannot be identified. For example, maturity of debentures cannot be identified with ratio analysis.</div><div>· For effective ratio analysis, practical experience and knowledge about particular industry is essential. Otherwise, it may prove worthless.</div><div>· Ratio analysis is a useful tool only in the hands of an expert.</div><div>Types of Ratio</div><div>Ratios can be classified on the basis of financial statements or on the basis of functional aspects.</div><div>Classification on the Basis of Financial Statement</div><div>Balance Sheet Ratios</div><div>Ratios calculated from taking various data from the balance sheet are called balance sheet ratio. For example, current ratio, liquid ratio, capital gearing ratio, debt equity ratio, and proprietary ratio, etc.</div><div>Revenue Statement Ratio</div><div>Ratios calculated on the basis of data appearing in the trading account or the profit and loss account are called revenue statement ratios. For example, operating ratio, net profit ratio, gross profit ratio, stock turnover ratio.</div><div>Mixed or Composite Ratio</div><div>When the data from both balance sheet and revenue statements are used, it is called mixed or composite ratio. For example, working capital turnover ratio, inventory turnover ratio, accounts payable turnover ratio, fixed assets turnover ratio, return of net worth ratio, return on investment ratio. Through this, the central bank is narrowing out the differential between the short- and the long-term yields or smoothing the yield curve.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Cheaper borrowing money- As the long-term yields coming down, the government will be able to borrow money cheaper against its bonds, as well as induce demand for private sector loans.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Reducing interest burden- Long-term bond yields have fallen reducing the interest burden on the government. In short, it effectively makes long-term government borrowings cheaper. The 10-year bond yields have fallen by 15 basis points to 6.6 percent from 6.75 per cent.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b>WAP AT 8961215410 FOR 2020 COURSE CURRICULUM AT SPECIAL DISCOUNT</b></i></u></div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-36869875808361013912020-03-04T05:05:00.001-08:002020-03-04T07:39:45.928-08:00RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020:Reasons Behind Success of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)<u><i><b>RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020</b></i></u><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div style=""><u style="font-style: italic;"><i><b><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/rbi.grade.b.prelim.main/">Reasons Behind Success of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)</a></b></i></u></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">Mass Communication Campaign: Swachh Bharat Mission, recognising the issue of social acceptability, launched a massive communication campaign to bring about a change in the social attitude. Reaching out to the masses effectively was one of the foremost foundations of this scheme. The Prime Minister of India's leadership in SBM, became the key ingredient for success of Swachh Bharat Mission.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">Clear Vision: Swachh Bharat Mission had clearly defined national targets, the action plan and outlined the tasks and roles at each level of operation.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Use of Nudge Theory: Majority of funds in SBM have gone towards incentivising the poor and marginalised households to construct and use household toilets, bringing about behaviour change, and building capacities of field functionaries.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Long Term Approach: Achieving ODF status hasn't led to closure of the mission.Government under rural sanitation has declared to shift its focus on ODF sustainability, bio-degradable waste management, greywater management, sludge management and, critically, plastic waste management for all villages by 2024.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">Multiplier Effect of SBM</div><div style="font-style: italic;">The returns on investments made in SBM, have been manifold, and their effects on the broader economy, markets and employment have been significant.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">UNICEF recently estimated that investments in sanitation in India are yielding a 400% return with each rural household in an open-defecation-free village saving Rs 50,000 on account of avoided medical costs and time savings.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">The Toilet Board Coalition has estimated that the sanitation infrastructure and services market in India will be worth over $60 billion by 2021, generating many new jobs, even in the most rural areas of the country, apart from reducing health and environmental costs and enhancing savings for households.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Many people engaged in the business of manufacturing toilet related hardware accessories have reported huge growth in sales during the SBM period. This has been corroborated by another recent study by UNICEF in which they have estimated that SBM has resulted in creating over 75 lakh full time equivalent jobs over the past five years, giving the rural economy a major boost.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">After the success of SBM, the next critical basic service that the government ought to provide is water supply.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Decentralised Approach: Union budget for 2020-2021 has commitment of Rs 3.6 lakh crore of central and state funds under this scheme. However, there is a need to follow a more decentralised approach (engaging local bodies) as envisaged by SBM.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">This will ensure that the gram panchayats and local urban bodies have responsibility to upkeep of their water and sanitation infrastructure, providing a boost to the sustainability of service delivery to people.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">This approach will ensure that just like sanitation, provision of water supply and its upkeep will also become everyone’s business.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">Women in Leadership Roles: SBM focused on ending the practice of open defecation, which directly benefited the women by restoring their dignity and basic health. This made women a flag bearer in the sanitation revolution. In rural India, women have to walk long distances in unfriendly weather and treacherous terrain to fetch water for their families.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">According to a report by the National Commission for Women, on average, a rural woman in Rajasthan walks over 2.5 km to reach a water source.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Providing piped water supply will provide women with the opportunity to use their time more productively and improve their quality of life.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Another scheme to conserve groundwater in regions with low water tables, the Atal Bhujal Yojana is based on community participation, a key component of this programme is the formation of water use associations, in which at least 50% of members are to be women.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">These steps will provide a massive fillip to the ease of living for women.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">Nudging the FarmerAbout 90% of India’s water is consumed in farming. And that 80% of this irrigation is for water-guzzling crops — rice, wheat and sugarcane.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">There is a need to diversify procurement operations, to include less water-intensive crops, like millets, pulses and oilseeds, especially in India’s drylands.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">However, changing the procurement process to less water-intensive crops requires a lot of political capital. Government can nudge the farmers to grow less water-intensive crops.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">:SPECIAL MONTH-END DISCOUNT:</div><div style="font-style: italic;">PH 1 AT 2000/- OR MAINS AT 3500/- OR BOTH AT 5000/-.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">WAP 8961215410 FOR DETAILS.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-66423817704057184092020-03-04T04:33:00.001-08:002020-03-04T07:40:13.935-08:00RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020:RBI Report on Bank Loans<u><i><b>RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020</b></i></u><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/rbi.grade.b.prelim.main/">RBI Report on Bank Loans</a></b></i></u></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">The Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) weekly statistical supplement released on 14th Feb 2020, showed that Indian banks' loans rose 7.1% in the two weeks to 31st January 2020 from a year earlier.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">It also showed that the deposits increased to 9.9%.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">In the fortnight to January 31, the outstanding loans rose Rs 989.26 billion ($13.86 billion) to Rs 101.03 trillion.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Non-food credit rose Rs 1.02 trillion to Rs 100.24 trillion</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Food credit fell 32.02 billion rupees to Rs 788.99 billion</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Bank deposits rose Rs 1.98 trillion to Rs 133.24 trillion.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b>WAP 8961215410 FOR DETAILS OF STUDY MATERIAL</b></i></u>.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-79407347875371337792020-03-04T04:28:00.001-08:002020-03-04T07:40:37.083-08:00RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020:20th Financial Stability Report<u><i><b>RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020</b></i></u><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/rbi.grade.b.prelim.main/">20th Financial Stability Report</a></b></i></u></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">The Reserve Bank of India, RBI has released its 20th Financial Stability Report on 27th Dec 19.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;">The report depicts that the country's financial system remains stable despite slowing economic growth.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">As per the 20th Financial Stability Report:</div><div style="font-style: italic;">The resilience of the banking sector has improved following recapitalization of Public Sector Banks (PSBs).</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Persistence of the risks arising out of global or domestic economic uncertainties and geopolitical developments like a delay in the Brexit deal, trade tensions, whiff of an impending recession, oil-market disruptions and geopolitical risks.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">India’s financial system remains stable notwithstanding weakening domestic growth.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">India’s exports could face headwinds in the event of sustained global slowdown.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Current account deficit is likely to be under control reflecting muted energy price outlook.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">Scheduled commercial banks’ (SCBs) gross non-performing assets (GNPA) ratio remained unchanged at 9.3% between March and September 2019 and predicted that SCBs’ GNPA ratio may increase from 9.3 % in September 2019 to 9.9 % by September 2020.</div><div style="font-style: italic;">The size of the inter-bank market continued to shrink with inter-bank assets amounting to less than 4 % of the total banking sector assets as at end-September 2019.</div><div style="font-style: italic;"><br></div><div style="font-style: italic;"><u><i><b>WAP 8961215410 FOR DETAILS OF STUDY MATERIAL</b></i></u>.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-48251882501587359392020-03-03T09:08:00.001-08:002020-03-04T07:41:10.289-08:00RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020:Budget 2020 - 21 Highlights </a></div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">👉Economy and Finance:</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸A new tax regime has been announced. But, this is optional in nature. The new regime is applicable to individuals who would opt out of the rebates-based old regime. The old regime is still there. If anyone wants to continue taking exemptions (deductions to bring down their taxable income), they will have to pay a higher tax rate(old regime). However, the ones opting out can benefit from lower tax rates. This is a move towards a cleaner and simpler tax structure.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸Bank deposit insurance cover has been increased from 1 lakh to 5 lakh. In the event of the bank run, people have improved financial security. This reform was long pending. In light of the ailing banking sector, this move will boost savings and deposit rates.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸A new Vivad se Vishwas scheme has been proposed. This is to settle litigation pertaining to direct taxes. The penalty and interest charges due to delay are waived off if taxpayers pay the tax demanded by 31st March 2020.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸This scheme covers individuals as well as companies. There are more than 500,000 cases, with a total tax demand of about Rs 8 lakh crore, pending in courts and quasi-judicial forums for years. It would take a long while before the tax department gets the money — that is if it eventually wins the cases. So, this is a win-win for either party.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸Civil offences are to be decriminalized by amending the Companies Act. This has been done to improve the business environment. Offences that could be decriminalized would include corporate social responsibility (CSR) violations and non-filing of returns.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">👉Agriculture:</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸The agriculture sector has gotten a budgetary allocation of 2.83 lakh crores. This is in consonance with efforts to tackle farmers distress and improve the agricultural growth which has remained stagnant at around 3%.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸A new Krishi Udaan scheme under Aviation ministry for transportation of agri-products has been announced. This is a forward linkage measure to improve price-realization for agri-products.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">👉Health and Sanitation:</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸The allocation for healthcare has increased from 62000 crores to 69000 crores.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸Expansion of AB-PMAY is to be done with more hospitals under PPP model in Tier II and Tier III cities</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">👉Education:</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸Efforts will be made to bring FDI and ECBs in this sector. This has been done to improve the higher education and research ecosystem by attracting talents. Thus, the focus remains on innovation.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸Apart from other regular announcements, the proposal for a national police university and a national forensic science university stands out.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">👉Infrastructure:</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸1.7 lakh crores have been proposed for transport infrastructure in 2021. This is in line with our global commitments to cut down carbon emissions.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">🔸Logistics sector remains in poor state. The cost of logistics in India is 14% of the GDP which is far higher as compared to other countries. Thus, a national logistics policy will be announced to bring down logistics costs for global competitiveness. This will have a spillover effect over a large number of sectors- agriculture, industry, exports in terms of reduced input costs and better price-realization for output.</div><div style="font-weight: bold;"><br></div><div style="font-weight: bold;">:SPECIAL NEVER BEFORE OFFER:</div><div style="font-weight: bold;">WAP 8961215410 FOR DETAILS.</div></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-77502551706742564642020-03-03T09:05:00.001-08:002020-03-04T07:41:33.426-08:00RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020: Reasons Behind Success of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)<div><u><i><b>RBI GRADE B PHASE 2 ESI FM STUDY MATERIAL 2020<br></b></i></u></div><div><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/rbi.grade.b.prelim.main/">Reasons Behind Success of Swachh Bharat Mission (SBM)</a></b></i></u><br></div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>Mass Communication Campaign: Swachh Bharat Mission, recognising the issue of social acceptability, launched a massive communication campaign to bring about a change in the social attitude. Reaching out to the masses effectively was one of the foremost foundations of this scheme. The Prime Minister of India's leadership in SBM, became the key ingredient for success of Swachh Bharat Mission.</div><div><br></div><div>Clear Vision: Swachh Bharat Mission had clearly defined national targets, the action plan and outlined the tasks and roles at each level of operation.</div><div>Use of Nudge Theory: Majority of funds in SBM have gone towards incentivising the poor and marginalised households to construct and use household toilets, bringing about behaviour change, and building capacities of field functionaries.</div><div>Long Term Approach: Achieving ODF status hasn't led to closure of the mission.Government under rural sanitation has declared to shift its focus on ODF sustainability, bio-degradable waste management, greywater management, sludge management and, critically, plastic waste management for all villages by 2024.</div><div><br></div><div>Multiplier Effect of SBM</div><div>The returns on investments made in SBM, have been manifold, and their effects on the broader economy, markets and employment have been significant.</div><div>UNICEF recently estimated that investments in sanitation in India are yielding a 400% return with each rural household in an open-defecation-free village saving Rs 50,000 on account of avoided medical costs and time savings.</div><div>The Toilet Board Coalition has estimated that the sanitation infrastructure and services market in India will be worth over $60 billion by 2021, generating many new jobs, even in the most rural areas of the country, apart from reducing health and environmental costs and enhancing savings for households.</div><div>Many people engaged in the business of manufacturing toilet related hardware accessories have reported huge growth in sales during the SBM period. This has been corroborated by another recent study by UNICEF in which they have estimated that SBM has resulted in creating over 75 lakh full time equivalent jobs over the past five years, giving the rural economy a major boost.</div><div><br></div><div>After the success of SBM, the next critical basic service that the government ought to provide is water supply.</div><div>Decentralised Approach: Union budget for 2020-2021 has commitment of Rs 3.6 lakh crore of central and state funds under this scheme. However, there is a need to follow a more decentralised approach (engaging local bodies) as envisaged by SBM.</div><div>This will ensure that the gram panchayats and local urban bodies have responsibility to upkeep of their water and sanitation infrastructure, providing a boost to the sustainability of service delivery to people.</div><div>This approach will ensure that just like sanitation, provision of water supply and its upkeep will also become everyone’s business.</div><div><br></div><div>Women in Leadership Roles: SBM focused on ending the practice of open defecation, which directly benefited the women by restoring their dignity and basic health. This made women a flag bearer in the sanitation revolution. In rural India, women have to walk long distances in unfriendly weather and treacherous terrain to fetch water for their families.</div><div>According to a report by the National Commission for Women, on average, a rural woman in Rajasthan walks over 2.5 km to reach a water source.</div><div>Providing piped water supply will provide women with the opportunity to use their time more productively and improve their quality of life.</div><div>Another scheme to conserve groundwater in regions with low water tables, the Atal Bhujal Yojana is based on community participation, a key component of this programme is the formation of water use associations, in which at least 50% of members are to be women.</div><div>These steps will provide a massive fillip to the ease of living for women.</div><div><br></div><div>Nudging the FarmerAbout 90% of India’s water is consumed in farming. And that 80% of this irrigation is for water-guzzling crops — rice, wheat and sugarcane.</div><div>There is a need to diversify procurement operations, to include less water-intensive crops, like millets, pulses and oilseeds, especially in India’s drylands.</div><div>However, changing the procurement process to less water-intensive crops requires a lot of political capital. Government can nudge the farmers to grow less water-intensive crops.</div><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b>:SPECIAL DISCOUNT:</b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b><br></b></i></u></div><div><u><i><b>WAP 8961215410 FOR DETAILS</b></i></u>.</div><div><br></div></div>Tamal Kumar Dashttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11985310273082301937noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3695267048184288368.post-34934122395330351512020-03-03T08:40:00.001-08:002020-03-03T08:42:00.104-08:00NABARD GR A AGRICULTURE ARD STUDY MATERIAL:SCHEMES OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO DOUBLE FARMER INCOME<i><b><u>NABARD GR A AGRICULTURE ARD STUDY MATERIAL</u></b></i><div><i><b><u><br></u></b></i></div><div><div><u><i><b><a href="https://www.facebook.com/groups/nabard.gradea.b.prelims.mains.exam/">SCHEMES OF CENTRAL GOVERNMENT TO DOUBLE FARMER INCOME</a></b></i></u></div><div>🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻🔻</div><div>☢ Soil Health Card (SHC) scheme by which the farmers can know the major and minor nutrients available in their soils which will ensure judicious use of fertiliser application and reduce cost of inputs and </div><div>improve soil fertility. </div><div><br></div><div>☢ Neem Coated Urea is being promoted to regulate use of urea, enhance its availability to the crop and reduce cost of fertilizer application.
